This workshop will help beadwork artists take their projects to another level through the introduction of colour theory using acrylic paints and beads. The first half of the workshop, participants will learn the basics of colour theory including complementary colours, analogous colours, hue, value and colour temperature while creating a personal colour wheel with acrylic paints. These lessons will transfer over to beadwork colour schemes in the afternoon.

This workshop will guide artists/ beginners to take their paintings to another level with the introduction of colour theory using acrylic paint. Early afternoon will flow from colour theory into getting acquainted with a variety painting tools and basic composition components.

Learn how to bead and tuft while creating a custom lapel! Lynette will share how to embroider bead, aka flat stitch, using a one needle and thread method. Beading will include a four petal flower outline on wool felt and beaded edging to attach the hide backing. Once the flower outline is complete, the history and knowledge of tufting hair will be shared.
