This workshop will help you to loosen up and paint quickly. Each person will pick their own set of colours for each painting. Donna will demo several options and guide you through the steps to using your right brain to create unique paintings.

Learn how to create beautiful landscapes. Students will learn how to apply the fundamentals and principles of design to create a functional and harmonious landscape. Coarse will include an overview of designs styles, the use of hardscape materials, sustainability in the landscape, and how to create a cohesive layout. Students will take home a completed landscape plan of their own creation. Planting plans are not included in this coarse.
Tuesday, Jan 28th | 9:30am – 12:30pm Try something completely new. Painting with vibrant alcohol inks. Join us for a half-day making beautiful works of art with brilliant, vibrant, glittering alcohol inks. You do not need any ability to paint or draw in order to make a stunningly beautiful work of art your first time.

Have you ever tried monoprinting with a gelatin plate? It’s so easy and fun. It’s a medium that is full of surprises and happy accidents. You never know what’s going to happen when you lift that piece of paper. It’s all about experimenting and letting go!

This is a 2 day workshop where you will work on one painting taking it through several stages to create a background layer, using colours of your choice. You will learn to add shapes and colours over the background and include some exciting new shapes to change your original background layer.

Botanical illustration has been around for hundreds of years and in this fun two-day workshop, we’ll get to explore this amazing art form. Working with traditional botanical guidelines, we’ll explore through the use of colour pencils in illustrating plants, fruits, and vegetables. We’ll work on layout/composition, rendering form, how to choose colours and layering with colour pencils.
