DIRECTOR OF YOGA AND MINDFULNESS AT MCTAVISH ACADEMY OF ART:
Kaeli was born and raised on unceded First Nations Territory in Victoria BC. She is a Certified Yoga Teacher with professional training as a Youth and Family Counsellor. Kaeli has a background as a group fitness and boot camp instructor, and is currently the Director of Yoga & Mindfulness here at the McTavish Academy of Art.
Four years ago, Kaeli began her yoga practice. She quickly started to experience the transformative benefits including: increased confidence, community connection, physical strength, balance, coordination and so much more. Kaeli has passion for an integrative Mindful approach that combines Social Justice, Hatha Yoga, Chakra-Psychology, and Ayurvedic principles to empower love, healing and togetherness.

This class will provide a safe nurturing environment to explore the foundations of yoga, including simple but profound postures (asanas), breathing and meditation techniques. This course will also introduce you to the chakras (energy centers), the koshas (layers of self), the gunas (energetic qualities) and more.

Ease into the foundations of yoga with simple postures, breathing practices, meditation and relaxation techniques that produce profound benefits in mind, body and spirit. This class will introduce beginners to Mindfulness, the Eight Limbs of Hatha Yoga and the Chakra System. Suitable for all levels, guide your own practice to intensify or moderate.
Saturday 10:00 – 11:15am
Restore core muscles and core yogic philosophies with dynamic postures, simple breathe work and mindful meditation. This class focuses on stretching and strengthening the abdominals and low back, opening the hips, and invigorating the mind-body. Modifications make this class accessible for all levels.
