This class will help develop your strength, balance and flexibility. Using a combination of both seated and standing postures with a strong focus on the breath. ‘Strength & Balance’ is a great compliment to your other activities such as running, cycling, walking and hiking. All levels welcome.
This all levels class has a strong emphasis on the breath and invites the individual to explore postures in a way that is suitable to their body.
Hatha classes offer gentle stretching and strengthening postures, breathing exercises and mindful meditation suitable for beginners and ongoing students.
Ease into the foundations of yoga with simple postures, breathing practices, meditation and relaxation techniques that produce profound benefits in mind, body and spirit. This class will introduce beginners to Mindfulness, the Eight Limbs of Hatha Yoga and the Chakra System. Suitable for all levels, guide your own practice to intensify or moderate.
A calm, meditative practice, comprised primarily of seated postures held for 3-5 minutes. A great compliment to other forms of activity.
Enjoy a safe pre-natal yoga practice guided by Certified Doula and Yoga Teacher, Alyssa Jean. Alyssa will gently guide you through yoga practices that support the physical changes and common aches during pregnancy. Create friendships with other moms in the community while learning simple yet profound methods to relax, de-stress and prepare you for labor and childbirth.
Mom and Babe
A time for mom to relax and connect back in to the body, breath and mind after pregnancy with baby by her side. We sing songs, play with toys, massage baby and create friendships with other families.
Moms, Dads and caregivers: come and enjoy yoga through your toddler’s eyes. Introduction to yoga concepts and yoga poses are taught using story books, songs and rhymes. More then one child and/or babies are welcome!
Moms, dads and caregivers: Come and enjoy popular children’s songs with your little one. Preschool concepts are taught through traditional and new songs and rhymes. New borns and beyond are welcome!
Men’s Monday Yoga is a class for men of all skill levels! This class will involve the basics of yoga and provide guidance on how to build up to more advanced postures. Designed as a holistic class, we will touch on both strength and flexibility aspects of yoga, as well the philosophy behind the practice.
Conditioning the body and the mind! It will move your body in new and exploratory ways and is meant to be both challenging and insightful. Expect to play with flowing transitions, breath work, and balance poses. Set to an ever-evolving soundtrack – jazz, 80’s pop, and maybe even some French baroque!
All Levels Flow
Emphasis on breath, fluid movement and anatomy, flow through a variety of postures ranging from seated postures to standing balances. Modifications make this class suitable for all skill levels.
When we approach yoga from a place of mindfulness, we are able to connect with our own personal truth. This class will introduce the student to the basic philosophy of yoga and will include asana (yoga postures), basic pranayama (breathing), meditation or chanting and relaxation. Instruction will be given for both beginner and advanced students and all students are encouraged to work at an appropriate level.
