Yoga Class Descriptions
Men’s Monday Yoga is a class for men of all skill levels! This class will involve the basics of yoga and provide guidance on how to build up to more advanced postures. Designed as a holistic class, we will touch on both strength and flexibility aspects of yoga, as well the philosophy behind the practice.
Hatha classes offer gentle stretching and strengthening postures, breathing exercises and mindful meditation suitable for beginners and ongoing students.
Yin yoga is the practice of slowing down; an act which is essential for our health and longevity. Holding individual postures for several minutes allows you to relax, release tension, and move deeply into each pose. During this time, you access your bodies deeper connective tissue which helps to increase mobility, improve circulation, strengthen bone tissue, and promote joint hydration.
This quiet, slow practice helps restore nervous system balance and can release deeply held tensions. We use props to support the postures to allow the breath, mind, and body to settle and invite deep relaxation and healing. This class is appropriate for students of all levels.
This class is intended to gently warm the body through sun salutations, followed by a meditative flow that links mindful movements with the breath. The poses offered will range from gentle to challenging, but emphasis will remain on safe, stable alignment and self-centering energy.
Conditioning the body and the mind! It will move your body in new and exploratory ways and is meant to be both challenging and insightful. Expect to play with flowing transitions, breath work, and balance poses. Set to an ever-evolving soundtrack – jazz, 80’s pop, and maybe even some French baroque!
Strength & Balance
This class will help develop your strength, balance and flexibility. You will be invited to explore a combination of seated and standing postures with a strong focus on the breath. All levels welcome.
This class will provide a safe nurturing environment to explore the foundations of yoga, including postures, breathing and meditation techniques.
In flow, we connect our breath to our movement, deepening our mind body connection and bringing fluidity to our movements. This beginner friendly is flow designed to strengthen and stretch the body to achieve a deeper relaxation. Expect to move between breath connected pacing of movement and holding strengthening and stretching movements throughout this practice. Options are given to make this class more challenging.
Come and join in this all levels class as we gently move through a variety of movements ranging from seated, standing and everything in between that will strengthen, stretch and relax the body mind and soul. Variation are given to make this class more challenging.
