Calling designers, future mechanical engineers, and especially playground lovers: we want your help building mini playgrounds. The Zen Maker Lab has been hard at work creating the mini playground project kits that students will build in class and then can use at home for decoration and play. Every week we’ll explore the science behind our favourite parks and then make a new piece of mini playground equipment to take home and add to our own personal playgrounds. Kids will find out all about the simple machines that make life easier for people like pulleys, planes, wheels and axles, and wedges.

McTavish Academy Of Art is located on 4.2 acres in North Saanich. The 18,000 sq foot facility has multiple studios and gardens as well as indoor and outdoor play space for children to explore.
