Instructor Bio:

Don has been a practicing meditator for over 40 years and was also ordained as a Lay Buddhist minister in the Buddhist Churches of Canada, Jodo Shinshu tradition. He has taught mindfulness meditation at the University of Alberta in Edmonton and at MAOA over the past two years. He believes that you don’t have to be a Buddhist to practice and derive the benefits of mindfulness – he teaches meditation from mainly a secular perspective. Don holds a certificate in Integrated Mindfulness from Royal Roads University. He also has a B.Sc. in earth sciences and religious studies and a M.Sc. in geology.
