Designed to build creativity, break through blocks, experiment, play and share in an encouraging environment, this writing workshop is ideal for anyone from seasoned professionals to those who have never written beyond their own journals. Writing exercises are introduced briefly by the instructor, followed by writing sessions and group sharing where positive comments and observations are very welcome. Brief readings from craft and other books may be included, dependent on timing, with a suggested reading list for each participant. Join us for an invigorating afternoon and put your pen to paper!
Instructor: Angela M Cowan is a professional writer and editor with more than eight years’ experience writing for lifestyle magazines and newspapers, and was a BC Yukon Community Newspaper Award Winner in 2015. She has had poetry published in Quills Canadian Poetry and digitally with Leaf Press Publishing, and has taken workshops with writer and poet Julie Paul and noted author Nick Bantock.
