Do you have an idea for a story? Something that prickles at the back of your mind, something that excites you, but you’re just not sure where to start? Join the Story Workshop for a weekend of creative minds, effective writing exercises and a positive workshop environment that will give you a starting point for your short story, your novel, or anything in between. Whether you’re an already published author or you’ve never written before, all levels of experience are welcome and encouraged.
Warm up on Saturday with a series of inventive writing exercises designed to get your creativity flowing, and then move into individual and group work exploring what makes your story tick. Sunday begins with several warm-up exercises before we dive deeper and build onto Saturday’s writing, with the second half of the day devoted to sharing and critiquing in an encouraging and thoughtful group workshop. This story workshop is ideally suited to fiction, and all genres are welcome.
