Little Designer’s is a series of classes that explore the fundamentals of architecture while working through the design process. Students will have the opportunity to explore drawing techniques as well as a variety of materials for model making to realize their designs. This is a hands-on and collaborative course. From small shelters to whole communities, students will work with design fundamentals such as form, function, volume, structure, scale, texture, colour, light and composition to realize their design.
With a Bachelor of Interior Design Degree from Ryerson University, Krystle has spent the past 15 years working across the disciplines of photography, education, interior design, and furniture. She has paralleled her professional design career with teaching youth at a non-profit visual and preforming arts school in Vancouver for a decade, as well as teaching and speaking at various design Universities. Inspiring children with design has been a natural evolution in Krystle’s creative practice. “I teach because I believe that experiencing the freedom to explore our own creative potential, and the energy of collaboration, in a safe and supported space is a significant part of the map the we build for ourselves.” Krystle is currently a Documentary Family Photographer, Designer, and Educator.
